Rochester Park

after conquering Dempsey Hill, the next is ROCHESTER!
this place is highly recommended by alot of magazines..
it is like a mini Dempsey to me, of course Dempsey is more happening.. with the variety of outlets there, price are generally more reasonable den the high-end Rochester.

a weekday dinner for two cost will cost about 150 bucks.

there are a number of restaurants along the stretch of Rochester.
my first time there and my pick is -GRAZE!
www.graze.com.sg

definitely, some rich have planned to open more restaurants..
as you can see, the whole stretch are filled with bungalows-converted-restaurants..
you really have to give them 2 thumbs up for the ambience they created..

coming up~~~
still building~~

ta-da!

GRAZE.

in the evening...

in the night...

the stretch of Rochester Park...

the new-age dining is not just about the food.. the service or the people.. definitely more effort added onto the ambience.. and one more thing i realised frm Oosh @ Dempsey and Graze @ Rochester.. they give their diners a few different kinda settings to choose frm..

frm balcony sofas.. to outdoor garden dining.. lounge area.. the bar..

check them up at Graze~

this special setting is at the entrance of it. screening some 60s movies..

they have a real heavy book of menu.
i gotta practically READ through it.. it took me about 30-45 mins!
alot of details.. good! you knw whats exactly in ur dish..
and one other good point noted, u can choose to have an entree portion (smaller)or main course portion(bigger) for the courses u ordered.. therefore, can try more stuff.
i sat down and they asked me if i wanted sparkling or still water.
i was woo-ed.. they actually serve SPARKLING water!
oh well, ended up, it was a "sales technique" i gotta PAY for it. 9bucks boy!
wagyu beef as appetiser.
damn, smooth and melting slice of beef!! wagyuuuu man.
my fave of the night.
very savoury caesar salad. nothing like the normal..
slightly more saltish den usual cos of the anchoives!
more like a main course i wld say.. quite a big serving.. value for money!

pork hock~ one of their star dishes.
it is not chao-tah !! very tender pork with a light sourish fruity sauce by the side..
compliments the fatty meat very well~

tiger-prawn linguini.

nothing too fantastic.

warm chocoloate tart with caramel! oozing choc? try this :D

baked green apply with some oat and cereal crust. a little too sourish for my liking but its fine after u mix ard with the vanilla bean ice cream~

staff are especially friendly and helpful.
weekday dining recommended! less crowded.. very peaceful.. comfortable.. cosy lightings.
asking to compare Oosh & Graze. it will perhaps be Oosh! cheaper, ambience is rather alike.. food is good too. for the exclusive-ness, try Graze if u happen to feel slightly heavier with cash.. i wld really think its pretty ex.. hotel price!
